An image from the European Space Agency’s Mars Express shows part of Mamers Valles, a huge valley system in Mars’s northern hemisphere.

The image captures tens of small dust devils.

These brief, tornado-like whirlwinds lift dust into the air and carry it across the surface of the Red Planet.
