Retrofire to Apollo 15: A new educational film focuses on Apollo 15, the 1971 mission of David Scott, Alfred Worden and James Irwin, and the Apollo program in general.

Apollo 15 was the first of the Apollo “J” missions capable of a longer stay time on the Moon and greater surface mobility.

Enhanced experience

The film was produced privately from archival material (visual and audio) retrieved from the period of the Apollo program.

“The exploration experience is further enhanced by including brief clips of familiar music during the Apollo era,” says Scott. “This provides another dimension to the visual scenes.”

The upgraded 50th Anniversary film of Apollo 15 will be released on the “Apollo 15 learning Hub” at 10 am Eastern Standard Time, January 10.
